This week's playlist!

I'm convinced that I have an obsession with music.
No matter the genre or beat, I'm always able to transcend into a completely different head space when a song comes on.
I often find myself being able to relate to every single track.

I love when I'm chopping it up with the besties on our daily check-ins and I'm able to go into my mental music repertoire and pull out some goodies that totally go with the convo at hand.

Here is my heavy rotation list for the week, ( yes I know its only Tuesday) but what can I say, if I pull a song up more than once in a day then you know it got me.

Carnival Tabanca- Bunji Garlin
In this song, Bunji relates his love for Carnival and how much he misses it when its done.
I have yet to experience Carnival in Trinidad but I know how he feels.  When you get so excited for something and it finally happens and how much you cant stop thinking about it before and after the fact. Definitely something we've all been through!

Somebody Else- Mario ft. Nicki Minaj
Where do I start? The beat on this is crazy. Mario goes in about a recently ended relationship. Call me wrong but I like the fact that the guy is the one hurting and having trouble getting over the breakup. It makes you want to delve further into the story line. Why did she leave? What did he do? Was it even his fault?

Tunnel Vision- Justin Timberlake
Oh Justin! Am I the only one that thinks its uber sexy the way he's so into this girl? Or does it come off a little obsessive?  You be the judge.

Seems like its all about the men this week, perhaps next week Ill go for an all girl playlist?

How could I forget my throwback of the week?

It's no crime- Babyface
In this gem, he sings about how love blind sighted him and he's ready to take it on, no holds barred.

Have a listen, dance with me or recommend a track for me...

So...

So...
I guess this is where our journey begins.
The countdown to my 30th birthday has already began and with 21 days left to go that self discovery gene kicks in.
So maybe if I put my many random thoughts a.k.a spots on "paper" they might actually make sense....
We'll see ;)
